Drake is still out there somewhere! He is a long haired Orange Cat
with white neck/belly and paws. Super friendly and sweet! He
disappeared from 16th & Russell on 12/27/11 and might be headed to our
old neighborhood in Inglewood.
I have plenty of photos if needed. If you have seen him please call

Location update: We have now expanded the search for Bandit to the
east side of Gallatin rd. In the litton/delmas area behind Las
Maracas and McDonald's. We received a call that someone saw her in
the McDonald's parking lot Monday @ 9.

I am new to this group but wanted to get the word out to anyone who
could keep an eye out. Our oldest dog (13yrs) went missing this
morning (2/6/12). I have printed flyers and drop off and posted them
on Gallatin Rd. She is a tri colored jack russel terrier. Small ,
she weighs about 13-15 lbs. She is deaf so does not respond but to
motions. She was last seen in the Carolyn Ave - Spain Ave vicinity of
Gallatin Rd. Please keep an eye out, I have also dropped a flyer off
at Caudle Vet Clinic. I live on Carolyn Ave. Please respond if you
have any information.

Now that we're 100% legit, we're having a Ribbon Cutting & Grand
Opening Party. The event will be tomorrow, February 7th at 3:15; we
hope you can make it.

We're now offering grooming on Sunday, so please keep us in mind. Our
new groomer is awesome. She's available every Tuesday, Wednesday and
Sunday. She works by appointment only and she books up pretty fast, so
call us ASAP.

At The Dog Spot we love being involved in the community. If you are
involved with any sort of fundraiser, please let us know as we're
always willing do donate daycare packages for silent auctions!

Spring break will be here before you know it and believe it or not, we
already have a few reservations on the books. So don't wait until it's

daily burns off energy. Dogs that do not burn off extra energy get:
over weight and destructive. If you have a dog that needs to burn off
some extra energy let Sitting Dog pick them up and take them for an
hour to the park where we will burn off that excess energy. Even once
a week will help.

Weather looks good for today and tomorrow but rain moves in later this
week......So what do you need to do for your pup? Let Sitting Dog
37206 take them to the park before and/or after it rains. As you have
seen from my video posts on Facebook and Youtube that we love to go
for walks to Shelby Bottoms and to Shelby Dog Park. If you are
feeling a little guilty about not getting your pups out for a walk or
to the park please let me know and I can take that guilt away!

Is he ok? We saw him in the middle of gallatin at ardee this afternoon and he looked to have a limp. We saw someone stop to chase him down but I couldn't tell if he'd been hit by a car.

show up. This dog is large, white with a few brown spots and two
collars.

Shepherd and a Miniature Greyhound that escaped yesterday afternoon.

Around 6:30 pm on 10/5, a little shih tzu was picked up on the corner
of 7th & Shelby Ave. in East Nashville by someone in a tan or brown
Suburban. She's roughly 14 years old, had a stroke about a year ago so
her hips and hind legs don't function properly, and weighs in at about
9 lbs. She has no collar nor microchip, and was brought to Value Vet
on Main this morning around 8:30 am, and since she had no microchip
the lady said she was contacting animal services. Please reply if you
have any more recent information on this dog. Thank you.

A lady came in with a small female gray/white shihtzu wearing a pink puffy jacket. No collar. She said she found it last night and wanted to see if it had a microchip. She then said her apartment would not allow her to keep it and she was going to take it to the Humane Association. I told her that we could keep the pet here until the owner was found since it was obvious the dog was well taken care of, recently groomed with nice jacket. I told her that it is obvious that the dog was somebody's baby and to please allow us to find the owner. She said since it wasn't microchipped that she was giving it to her friend. I told her that was not right that baby had a home. The lady became hostile and just took dog and walked out. One of our good clients went outside and took a picture of the ladies car tags. If anyone knows someone that lost their baby please have them come by and I can give them the car tags. Rachel

Drake disappeared from 16th & Russell on 12-26-11. He is a long hair

Just wanted to update everyone on Nikolas. Nikolas is doing as well as can be expected. Luckily we have finally gotten his blood sugars level. His lung capacity is still down and he has a hard time going anywhere. It is so hard just to get him to and from doctors visits. Luckily, we were able to put off his Dayani therapy because his deductible has not been met yet. so the doctors are allowing us to skip those and still remain on the transplant list. We were so hoping to have his new lungs by the 1st. Nikolas is kind of down and so worried he will die before lungs come in.

200-3489. He is about 10 yrs old but doenst really look his age unless you look close at his eyes or if you see his teeth. I have a ten year old son that he has grown up with, that will not stop crying. He may look like he could be a mean dog but I can assure you he is a gentle giant. Hi all!

The nature center is in need of donations of any or all types of bird seed/feed for our new bird feeding station. The most versatile and widely eaten seed is black oil sunflower seed, but the birds also like striped sunflower, millet (or mixes of millet and sunflower), safflower, suet blocks, thistle and peanut butter. Any or all of those would be greatly appreciated!

If you haven't seen our new bird blind/feeding station, please come by and check it out! It was constructed by a Scout as his project to attain the Eagle rank. It's just wonderful! The birds have used it from the very first day and it really adds to the nature center campus. We have used it for school and preschool field trips and public programs and it is even visible from inside so anyone using or visiting our classroom can enjoy it as well. And of course, you can check it out from the outdoors as well, like the kids in photo illustrate!

We are open Tues, Thurs and Sat from 9-4 and Wed/Fri 12-4. If you would like to donate bird food but can't get by at those times, we might be able to meet you here at another time. Just call! 862-85398.

Yesterday it was DARK by 5:00pm. wow.. However just because it is
dark out early
doesn't mean your pup can't go play at the park!! At Sitting Dog I
will pick up your baby take them to the park for 45 minutes of play
time and then bring them home again... And if it's raining out that is
no problem I will dry them off when we get home!...

Recently I have been bombarded with complaints for our decision to sell Purina Prescription Diets. I have been handed articles and sent videos .....etc.... The subject was that dog food was made up of the remains of euthanized cats and dogs from veterinary clinics and humane associations. This prompted me to begin a search of reliable sources....google only brought up articles written by people wanting to sell holistic foods.
